MRSC relies on the commitment of our families to run a smooth and effective program. To that end, all families must work a designated number of meet jobs.  We prefer parents work the meets assigned to them, however, if this is not possible you may trade with another family or “buy out” of certain assignments. These assignments are Timer/Recorder (not Head Timer), Floater, Runner, Ribbons, and Snack Shack.

Buy-Out Procedure

The family buying out of a meet assignment must:

1. Contact an individual from the Approved Buy-Out List (see below) and give them all of the information necessary (date, time, job, location, etc.) to complete the assignment. ***Cell phone call or text works best with the teenagers.  Tell the individual to arrive early in order to check in with the Meet Manager.

2. Prior to the meet, pay the $60.00 buy out fee directly to the individual.  This is a good opportunity to remind the individual of the date and time.

3. At least 5 days prior to the meet, email your sub’s name and cell phone (along with the date of the meet and your job assignment) to:

   1. For Dual Meets, the Meet Directors ([email protected]) and the meet manager for the meet (you can locate this on the job sign-up tab under the specific meet event.

   2. For Invitational Meets, the Invitational Directors ([email protected]) and the meet manager for the meet (you can locate this on the job sign-up tab under the specific meet event).   

No Show Fee

There is a $150 no-show fee for each meet job if you fail to trade with another family or arrange a buy out with someone on the approved buy out list. Our meets run entirely on the work and energy of all of you. We can't do it without you!
