2024 Practice Groups

AESC offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Our goal is to offer training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. 

New swimmer assessments take place on June 3rd between 9-11am before practices begin for the season. Please have your swimmer come in your practice suit, with goggles, water bottle, and towel. 

Assessments will take place in the deep end under coach supervision. While swimmers are in the water – parents will have a quick orientation on swim meet volunteer jobs. Look for an invitation with specific times after registration.

All swimmers will be asked to swim two laps (50 yards) and MUST be able to swim at least 25 yards, unassisted and in a legal stroke, to be considered for the team.

Our season starts on June 4th with the first practice for all swimmers at normal times. 

Initial placement for new swimmers to the team is by their respective age, skill level, and available space. Coaches have the discretion to place individual swimmers in the practice group most appropriate to their swimming ability. Please use the group guides for practice times unless instructed otherwise by the coaching staff.
