Mandatory Parent Commitment

Avon Eagle Swim Club greatly appreciates your contribution of team support throughout the season to help us host a variety of events. All families must fulfill 2 Mandatory Commitments during the season. NOTE: you may be required to work meets in which your swimmer is not competing to fulfill the commitment.

How do I sign up to volunteer? The volunteer sign-up will be done online via the team unify website. You will receive an email notifying you when the sign-up will open. Failure to show up for a scheduled shift may result in a fine. You may get a replacement to fill your position and not be fined.

How many Commitments must I fulfill? All families must fulfill 2 Commitments during the season.

What if I signed up but I know that I cannot make it to the event? You are welcome to send someone in your place, and you will receive credit for any shifts worked. If you are still struggling to fulfill your obligations, please let the team manager know in advance, and we will work on other volunteer opportunities if possible.

What do I do when I arrive for my volunteer shift? Volunteers must “sign in” when they arrive at the pool to work. The sign-in table/tent is located at the swimmer entrance of the pool for home meets. For away meets, look for the purple sign-in table/tent. You are responsible for ensuring you are signed in properly to establish arrival time. Please write both your name and your swimmer’s name if the last names are different.

What happens if I did not sign up to volunteer or I am late or leave early from my assigned shift? If you do not sign up to volunteer at all, you will be fined $25 per commitment not fulfilled. Please know… We do not want your money; we need your help to run outstanding events for our athletes. Parents of High School age club swimmers are excluded from any of these expectations.
