2024 Mini Dolphin Program

The Mini Dolphin program runs from Monday, June 3 thru Friday, July 20.

The Mini Dolphin program is a Summer program for those who strive to be promoted to the 8 & Unders swim team group. All swimmers must be potty trained and 3.5 years of age by June 15, 2024. It is not mandatory to swim all 5 days per week. Once the swimmer is able to go across the 25-yard length of the pool in freestyle and/or backstroke, he/she will be eligible for swim meets. Swimmers must receive promotion before participation in 8 & Unders practices. 

 

Mini Dolphin Session Time Slots:

11:30 - 12:00 | 12:00 - 12:30 | 12:30 - 1:00
Our Mini Directors will place each mini swimmer in the appropriate time slot to keep all sessions balanced with staff and available pool space. 

Fee: $500

  • 7-weeks of swim instruction, offered Monday-Friday
  • The Mini Dolphin fee does NOT include the team cap nor participation in our Hot Summer Nights (swimmers only) social event.
  • There are no volunteer obligations if your only swimmer is a Mini Dolphin.

 

Participation in the Annual Meadow Mini Meet Invitational in July is by coach invitation only. 

IF you are invited to move up to the swim team before MINI MEET, the cost will be $60 to cover activities/awards and meet entry fees. IF you are moved up AFTER Mini Meet, there are no fees.

 

A swimmer's promotion to Swim Team does include family volunteer requirements based on timing of promotion:

  • Moved up BEFORE Mini Meet is 1 Mini Meet Job and 1 OMPA job. 
  • Those moved up AFTER Mini Meet will be required to do 1 OMPA job. 
  • IF the family has other swimmers, their obligations may have already been met and may not need to add any other jobs - please email Meadow's Registrar at [email protected] if you have questions.

 

On the rare occasion a child is registered for the swim team and needs to be moved down to Minis (usually during the first two weeks of the Summer), we will refund you the fees, and the Mini Dolphin Program fees are applied.
